The Core System
**Password Manager** → [Proton Pass](https://proton.me/pass) (open source, built-in email aliasing) **Email** → [Proton Mail](https://proton.me/mail) is the one inbox. 3 emails total (Proton for everything, Gmail for Google/YouTube, Hotmail for Microsoft/gaming). Everything else gets an alias. **Aliasing** → [SimpleLogin](https://simplelogin.io) (unlimited aliases, built into Proton Pass) **2FA** → TOTP authenticator app + stored backup codes **Breach Monitoring** → [Have I Been Pwned](https://haveibeenpwned.com) + Proton Pass alerts
Quick Checklists
New Account Setup (30 seconds)
- Generate strong password via Proton Pass
- Create email alias via SimpleLogin
- Save login in password manager
- Enable 2FA if available
- Save backup codes securely
Weekly Maintenance
- Check for breach alerts in Proton Pass
- Clear spam and promo emails
- Disable any aliases receiving spam
Monthly Maintenance
- Review new accounts created this month
- Update any weak passwords
- Review active aliases

Rules
- No “New Folder” or “Misc” — everything gets a real name
- Year folders for temporal stuff, topic folders for reference stuff
- Delete duplicates immediately
- Downloads folder cleared monthly
